Lisa Altrocchi Mihevc
My basic training was with the Ralston School of Massage in 1995, and since then I have became a workshop junky and attend multiple workshops every year. Here is a partial list: Certification in Aston-Patterning - a two year program, CORE Myofacial Release, Sports Massage; Reiki; Acupressure- 150 hours, TMJ, Lower Back Pain, Skier's massage, Swedish, Trager, Releasing the Neck, Russian Medical Massage, Soft Tissue Release, Lymphatic Drainage (Barry Method), a 20 hour John Barnes Myofascial Release workshop, Cupping and most recently, a workshop on Headaches and Migrains.
My participation in a variety of sports helps me to understand what my client might be going through, or understand their body compensations. I will ask you how your body is doing, and we will focus on those issues, along with what your body reveals to my hands.
One of my reasons for entering the massage field was due to a neck compression fracture in High School that led to constant headaches, and I was looking for a way to alleviate the pain. Hence, I love to work on necks. Also, I grew up in an athletic environment, and if something hurt, it was rubbed. It also helped that my mother practiced Massage Therapy later in life.
In my spare time, I love to skate ski, downhill ski on a powder day, hike in the summer and search for views, vistas and wildflowers. I do carry my camera and tinker a bit. Throw in a bit of camping, listening to music, dancing, gardening, and eating healthy food. My best friend and playmate is my husband, Greg. This is me!
